iRide Winnipeg (Real Time Transit Information) App Reviews

I saw all these good reviews and spent my money on it but it is no different than me calling telebus!

Depending on what your expectations are, this app may(or may not) be worth purchasing. To clarify the description, what this app can do is a) take your favourite stops and populate them with current estimated arrivals and b) let you choose a bus stop via a map which will give you the current estimated arrivals. For convenience, this is a nice app, but (and this may have been my glitch) what it does not do is give you the real time position of the bus via GPS. It gives you the same information that Transit gives if you SMS them with the stop #. For example, this morning I used the app to get the location of my bus; the app told me it had gone already, but, in fact, the bus arrived a minute later. I wouldnt recommend this app for the $2.29 they are asking. For 0.99, maybe, but only for convenience, if thats your thing.

The previous version was great. Very convenient and usable. This version is unresponsive when touching the stop name to get the schedule. Hopefully they will fix it in an update.

Have used this app for a long time. Since the June 19 update you can no longer click stops on the map. Obviously something was broken in the code

Was the best Winnipeg Transit app available. Since the last update it no longer works on older iphones. Issue has been brought to developers attention months ago and has yet to be fixed.

I gotta say, this app was awesome before updating, the old version was very handy and helpful, now there are two main problem: 1. Difficult for choosing stops; 2. The bus route with three numbers are not fully shown. These make the app quite useless... Hope the developer fix it ASAP.

Convenient at times but often has wrong times for busses. Also have had instances where a bus is listed to come and when it is not.
